Carroll Arts Elects Officers

McKENZIE (December 17) — Carroll Arts, Inc. met on Tuesday, December 17 for its monthly meeting and annual Christmas party at President Glynda Rich’s house.

The meeting consisted of a light agenda and included the reading and approval of the minutes, financial report, Mistletoe Christmas event report, discussion of upcoming events: Trivia Bowl and Hearts in Harmony, nominating committee report and election of new officers for president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.

In attendance were: Glynda Rich, Denise Sam, Scott and Carol Armpriest, Shirley Martin, Donna Ward, Anna Moore, Veronica Davis, Steve Morris, Bill and Geneva Johnson, Jason and Brittany Martin and Eric and Bonnie Teas.

During the November meeting, Glynda Rich, president and founder of Carroll Arts, appointed a nominating committee to select a new president for Carroll Arts. Rich said she will hold the position of vice president and help train the incoming president. Carol Armpriest (chairperson), Shirley Martin and Allison Cummings were selected as the nominating committee.

On Tuesday, Carol delivered the nominating committee’s decision to name Glynda Rich as vice president, Donna Ward as secretary, Denise Sam as treasurer and Brittany Martin as president.

The Christmas party immediately followed the meeting adjournment where each member brought their favorite snack.

Carroll Arts' next event is the annual Trivia Bowl on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in McKenzie, located at 16835 Highland Drive. The next meeting will be January 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the McKenzie Senior Center located at 172 S. Main Street.
