Carroll County Commission Meets Monday

The Carroll County Commission meets Monday, October 14 at 7 p.m.

On the agenda are the following: Resolution 10-01-2024 – Amend the FY25 Budget; Resolution 10-02-2024 – Transfer Funds from Reserve Account for Register of Deeds; Resolution 10-03-2024 – Transfer Funds from Reserve Account for Carroll Academy; and Resolution 10-04-2024 – Approve Memorandum of Understanding Between Heritage Health Solutions and Carroll County Government.

The budget amendments on Resolution 10-01-2024 total $20,782.99 from a Circuit Court Security Grant and School Resource Officer Grant totaling $ 90,234.73. The SRO grant return was requested by TN Department of Safety & Homeland Security Office from the endowment grant, owed back to the state for FY24 SRO Grant due to not being able to use the full grant amount.

Resolution 10-02-2024 transfers reserve funds in the amount $11,229.08 to the expenditure accounts from the Carroll County Register of Deeds Reserve Account for expenses to be incurred in the FY25 Budget.

Resolution 10-03-2024 transfers reserve funds in the amount $3,000 to the expenditure accounts from the Carroll Academy Reserve Account for expenses incurred in the FY25 Budget.

Resolution 10-04-2024 allows the Carroll County Government to participate in a cost reduction program in partnership with Heritage Health Solutions, with the purpose of reducing inmate medical expenses from medical providers beyond the confines of the jail. By participating in this program, Heritage Health Solutions will use its resources to reprice inmate medical claims the County is responsible for paying.

The Commission will hear an update from Heather Foster regarding the Carroll County Prevention Coalition. The Carroll County Highway Department will provide an update on its personnel policy. The Commission will recognize Renee Myers, Carroll County Veterans Service Officer, for her recent conference award.

The meeting takes place at the Carroll County Government Complex on High Street in Huntingdon.
