We know and understand the stress they experience and we want to show them that they are seen, appreciated and supported. We feel that providing monogrammed shirts for them will help build a sense of pride in our school and boost staff morale.”
Carroll County Technical Center also participates in the Utrust Appreciation Program and Culture Initiative and has received $1,500 to support their participation in the programs.
The Utrust Appreciation Program encourages students to express gratitude toward school staff, while the Culture Initiative broadens this effort to involve staff being intentional about expressing appreciation to students. It also involves the school inviting parents and the community at large to express appreciation to students and school staff. Together, these initiatives aim to foster a culture in the school community where everyone appreciates, and everyone is appreciated.
Dr. Dan Tollett, Utrust administrator, highlighted the district’s commitment: “We welcome the opportunity to be a part of Carroll County’s efforts to appreciate every school employee and every student. I hope that parents and other community members will make a special effort to support the school’s efforts to build a stronger culture of appreciation.”
Utrust is a Tennessee-based organization supporting school systems in addressing unemployment matters and promoting employee recognition. This year, Utrust will award $1 million in mini-grants to 51 school systems across Tennessee to help them celebrate their employees.
