Driving on revoked (5th offense) — On November 13, Deputy Ezell initiated a traffic stop on a silver 2012 Nissan Altima for a brake light that was not working properly. The driver, Terry Paul Cahill, 34, of Hollow Rock, was asked for his driver’s license, which deputies confirmed to be revoked.

Cahill’s license showed a revocation for failure to satisfy fines, costs, and taxes, effective since March 30, 2022, with no reinstatement date. Deputies also confirmed that Cahill had four prior convictions for driving on a revoked license from February 24, 2021, November 18, 2019, out of Montgomery County, October 23, 2017, out of Carroll County, and April 12, 2018, out of Henderson County.

Cahill was arrested and transported to the Carroll County Jail for driving on revoked, fifth offense. The incident occurred in Carroll County.

Impersonation — On November 14, Deputy Williams responded to the Carroll County Jail lobby for a report of unauthorized debit card transactions. The reporting party stated he discovered several suspicious charges on his bank account that he did not make.

The first attempted transaction was to a service identified as “MoonPay,” which he was able to stop before it processed. He also observed a Walmart online purchase for approximately $42, which he halted. While reviewing his account, he then located an older Walmart online purchase for approximately $160.

The reporting party advised he had contacted his bank, updated his information, and was working with them to recover his funds. Records indicated the online Walmart transactions were processed through the Huntingdon Walmart system.

The case was forwarded to investigations.

Motor vehicle theft — On November 12, Deputy Ezell responded to a residence on Highway 436 for a report of stolen property. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the reporting parties, who stated that two off-road vehicles and multiple tools had been taken from the property.

One of the stolen vehicles was described as a red 2012 Polaris RX8, valued at approximately $5,000. The second vehicle, a forest green 2019 Honda TRX four-wheeler, was also valued at approximately $5,000. The total value of the missing tools was unknown at the time of the report.

Both vehicles were last seen on or about November 9. The incident remains under investigation.
