Huntingdon Softball Standout Signs with Bethel

McKENZIE — Huntingdon softball standout Bailey Cary signed with the Bethel University softball program Wednesday.
Bailey is the daughter of Mark and Joyce Cary of Huntingdon and will major in Exercise Science.
Bailey is an Honor Roll student and a member of HOSA, JAG, and the Mustang Mentors.
Bailey has been a key member of several travel ball squads in Louisiana, Tennessee, and the Mid-South. She has won multiple MVP awards in travel ball.
During her prep career at Huntingdon High School, Cary has been an all-district third baseman and also has excelled in the circle. She is one of the starting pitchers that have led the Lady Mustangs to the TSSAA Sectionals. Bailey has also displayed her versatilely as a first baseman. She feels one of strengths is her defensive prowess at first base.
Cary commented, “I look forward to my career as a Lady Wildcat. I was recruited by several other schools, but I have always wanted to come to Bethel. It’s close to home and my parents can come watch us play.”
Bethel Interim Athletic Director Dave McCulley said, “Bailey comes from a great family and a great Lady Mustang program. We are excited that she has signed with Lady Cats.”
