Chandlers Celebrating 60th Wedding Anniversary
From the Jun 25, 2024 e-Edition
Gary and Wanda (Trull) Chandler recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on June 6. They were married on June 6, 1964, near McKenzie. Both were 1962 McKenzie High School graduates and have known each other since they were in the 7th grade. The couple has one son, Michael Douglas Chandler, who is a professor of music at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville. Gary and Wanda spent their special day in Nashville with their beloved family, Michael and Ben, who reside in Clarksville. The family dined on steak and lobster at a well-known Nashville restaurant, The Palm. They also toured the iconic Ryman Auditorium, had photos made and enjoyed live music around the city.
The Chandlers reside at their home on Fields School Road in the McKenzie-Huntingdon area, where they have lived since July 1964. They hope to take a special anniversary trip this fall, their favorite time of year to travel.
