From the May 12, 2026 e-EditionHUNTINGDON — Mr. Charles David “Chuck” Pruitt, 78, of Huntingdon, died Friday, May 8, 2026, at Diversa Care in Martin, Tennessee.
Funeral services are Sunday, May 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Derek Frazee officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until time of service.
Mr. Pruitt was born July 31, 1947, in Paris, Tennessee, to the late Isiah Pruitt and Clara Lavell Reynolds Pruitt. He was a retired builder for Champion Homes. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Rich Pruitt, two brothers, Dudley Pruitt and Donald Pruitt, and two sisters, Nancy Hoffman and Leola Vaughn.
He is survived by a daughter, Sherry Lynn Pruitt, of Ft. Worth, Texas, a step-daughter, Denise English, of Paris, Tennessee, a son, David Pruitt of McKenzie, a step-son, Mark Harder, of Newborn, Tennessee, a sister, Peggy Baham of McKenzie, and two brothers, Ricky Pruitt (Mary Ann) of McKenzie, and Doug Pruitt (Linda) of Huntingdon. He also leaves ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
