From the May 6, 2025 e-EditionGLEASON, Tenn. - A memorial service for Charles “Howard” Ross is Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Saturday at 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Ross, 91, died at Baptist Hospital Union City on Sunday, May 4, 2025. He was a member of Gleason First United Methodist Church, a retired farmer and farm supplies retailer. He was born in Paris on December 10, 1933, to the late H.C. and Asenath Matilda Owen Ross.
He is survived by his son, Charles (Debbie) Ross of Gleason, a brother, Paul (Sherry) Ross of Greenfield, three grandchildren, Logan Ross, Cameron Ross and Hannah (Ben) Walker and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Collier Ross, his daughter, Gina Ross Jaillier, a sister, Ruth Owen, and five brothers, Eugene Ross, Earl Ross, Willard Ross, Burnice Ross and Elvin Ross.
