From the Jan 20, 2026 e-EditionHUNTINGDON — Mr. Charles Williams Johnson, 76, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services are on Friday, January 16, 2026, at noon, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home, with Bro. Robert Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Jamison Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of the service.
Mr. Johnson was born July 15, 1949, in Huntingdon, to the late Berry Williams Johnson and Alva Wilson Johnson. He was a janitor for the Huntingdon School System and a member of Westport Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Nell Forrest.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda, and nieces, Tammy Walls, Stacy Forrest and Tracy Allen.
