Cherrywood Residents Join Halloween Festivities
From the Nov 4, 2025 e-Edition
Beginning what they hope to make an annual tradition, staff from the Cherrywood Post Acute assisted living facility, located at 175 Hospital Drive in McKenzie, hosted a trunk-or-treat event Thursday, October 30.
Staff and their families decorated their cars’ trunks and set them up at the facility’s parking lot. Some residents even sat outside, making a line nearer to the facility, to give candy out to attending families.
Stephanie Warbritton, administrator at Cherrywood Post Acute, said she and her staff planned the event to drive community involvement to the facility. “It’s also a good opportunity for interaction with our residents,” she said. “They love kids, and they love to interact with them, too.”
This trunk-or-treat is Cherrywood Post Acute’s first program in what they hope to be an eventful holiday season. Warbritton shared that they will also host a Thanksgiving family meal in November and different Christmas events throughout December, which she hopes will drive traffic to the assisted living facility.
