Chocolate Tour Offers Sweet Fun at Local Businesses
From the Feb 10, 2026 e-Edition
McKENZIE (February 7) — Local chocolate lovers spent Saturday afternoon venturing from business to business to sample sweet treats during the annual Chocolate Tour.
With 18 stops, this was the most participation by local businesses since the event began just over a decade ago.
Chocolate tourists were encouraged to visit every stop on the list with the incentive of being entered into a drawing for prizes provided by the participating businesses.
Patrons were also asked to choose their favorite treat on the tour. The winner this year was The McKenzie Taproom with their chocolate fondue fountain and a full spread of options for dipping. The Taproom will receive a trophy commemorating their win.
Other businesses participating were McKenzie Fun Zone, Petals Azola, Summers Ink, McKenzie Nutrition, Phipps Pharmacy, MJ’s Mercantile, The Refinery, The Park Theatre, The Silly Goose, Cedar Street Boutique, Sunrise Cafe, McKenzie Chamber of Commerce/Industrial Board, McKenzie Memorial Library, Premier Furniture, McKenzie City Florist, The Happy Book Stack and the Gordon Browning Museum.
