TREZEVANT - Christie Laura "Alice" Pillow, 57, died February 28, 2025, in Warren, Ohio. She was born on December 6, 1967, in Trezevant, Tennessee, and spent her adult life in Lexington, Tennessee.
Christie attended Trezevant High School before graduating from West Carroll High School following a school system change. During her school years, she was a talented basketball player and a well-liked student, earning the nickname "Alice," which stayed with her throughout her life.
She built a diverse career across multiple industries. Christie worked at Fluid Routing Solutions, also known as Mark IV, where she was known for her dedication. She also served as an assistant manager at the Huddle House in Lexington for many years and was a valued employee at the Smoke House in Lexington.
Beyond her professional life, Christie had many passions that defined her spirit. She was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who loved the freedom of the open road. Her love for photography allowed her to capture moments that reflected her appreciation for life’s beauty. A true animal lover, she especially adored her beloved dog Jazz. Christie also had a deep commitment to charitable causes; she participated in events such as the Polar Plunge in Jackson, Tennessee, supporting the Special Olympics, and took part in Toys for Tots runs to bring joy to children during the holidays.
Christie is survived by her nieces Laura and Lynda Darnell; their children—her great-nieces and nephews—Krysti Martin and James Darnell; Augusta Triplett and Dylan Walls; and their children Kaleb, Kensley, Kyleigh Joe, Jack Martin, Mason and Tracy Darnell, and Mia Triplett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Pillow of Trezevant and Lyndell Pillow of Florida; her sister, Debbie Darnell (Smith) of Lexington; her brother, Thomas Pillow of Trezevant; and her grandparents, Bennett and Elsie Smith of Trezevant.
Christie was country to the core—fun-loving and full of life. She cherished time spent outdoors and with those she loved most. Her kindness, adventurous spirit, and unwavering devotion to family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory comfort those who loved her until they meet again.
