Look for two exciting special editions in the December 16 edition of The McKenzie Banner, the Christmas Greetings and STATE Special Editions.

Christmas Greetings Special Edition

Christmas Greetings features letters to Santa Claus, coverage of local holiday events, games, recipes, coloring and more. It is an annual special edition that we at The Banner take great pride in publishing. Right now, we are hard at work typing Santa letters.

This year, we added an extra special detail to the letter templates. For years, when we typed Santa letters we noticed some of them had beautiful artwork on the back. This peek into the child's imagination always made us stop to admire and smile, but we never published the artwork.  This year, on the back of each Santa letter template is a space to "Create a Masterpiece" to be included in an online art gallery on mckenziebanner.com and our Facebook, facebook.com/mckenziebanner. Now, aspiring artists can share their work with the world and you get a glimpse into what makes this task so special to us.

So please visit the online art gallery this season, and like and share their art; and don't forget to get your copy of the Christmas Greetings edition too, located inside the December 16 edition of The McKenzie Banner. 

STATE Special Edition 

The STATE Special Edition will feature season recaps for McKenzie and Huntingdon High School football teams all the way to the state championship game, congratulations from local businesses and provide families with a very special keepsake.

We are so proud of these two Carroll County teams (and of Westview too)! It takes a lot of hard work and determination to get to the title game.
