CLARKSBURG (June 2) — The Clarksburg Rockets will soon have a soccer field to call home, Clarksburg School revealed on Tuesday.

The school shared that the new soccer field project was made possible through the dedication, vision and support of many individuals and organizations.

Clarksburg School extended its thanks to Ret. Col. Donna McDaniel-Cox, Mr. Corey Bartholomew, Mr. Colton Moore, Dr. Christy Blount, Mr. Tom Miller, Mr. Andrew Stokes of Stokes Surveying, Nick Foster Construction, USDA’s NRCS Division, the Tennessee National Guard and Brig. Gen. Warner A. Ross II for their support.

“This is a great example of what can happen when people come together with a shared vision for our students and our future,” a Clarksburg School representative said.

The new Rocket Field will be located behind the Rocket Farm barn, creating a permanent home for Clarksburg’s soccer program and providing new opportunities for students and the Clarksburg community.

Previously, the Rockets’ home soccer field was in Huntingdon.
