Clay Wilson Day Declared in Gleason

GLEASON (September 20) — Clay Wilson, owner of Gleason Lumber Company since 1962, was honored by family and friends for his 90th birthday. Mayor Charles Anderson declared September 20, 2024 as Clay Wilson Day in the town.
Mayor Anderson’s proclamation included the following facts about Wilson:
He was born September 20, 1934 and graduated high school at Webb School in Bell Buckle.
He has been a resident and good citizen of Gleason since 1962, when he became owner of Gleason Lumber Co. and a member of Gleason Methodist Church.
He has been a faithful husband to Harriet Wilson and raised three sons and a daughter in a Christian home.
He has been a supporter of all civic activities in Gleason and a positive influence and inspiration to everyone he has come in contact with in the community and his business.
He has been an avid supporter of all activities of Gleason School.
He has been an all-around good citizen and has demonstrated good leadership.

Paris Landing Arts and Crafts Festival is September 12-13
The 26th annual Paris Lakeway Kiwanis Club Arts and Crafts Festival at Paris Landing State Park features over 115 local and regional crafters displaying and selling their handmade and hand-crafted items.
