From the Oct 28, 2025 e-EditionMIXIE, Tenn. - Mr. Clifton Cruse, 87, of Mixie, Tennessee, died on Friday, October 24, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2025, at Henry Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McKenzie. Brother John Sutton officiating.
The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and on Monday from 11:00AM until 1:15PM.
Mr. Cruse was born on November 10, 1937, to the late Alvernie “Bob” Cruse and Ruby Vancleave Cruse. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Cruse; brother, Kenneth Cruse; and sister, Wilma Jane Gammill.
He retired from Carroll County School Systems as the transportation supervisor. He was a member of Henry Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters Wendy (Shea) Bromley of Lexington, Tennessee and Marcia (Mike) Miller of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one sister Donna (Dave) Dyer of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee; one brother Greg (Joy) Cruse of Mixie, Tennessee; five grandchildren Morgan Bromley, Candace Bromley, Bethany (Koby Wortham) Miller, Ashlyn Miller and Carly Miller.
Dilday-Carter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, 731-986-8281.
