County Chamber Hosts 10th Annual Day of Prayer

McKENZIE (May 1) — The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce held its 10th annual National Day of Prayer event at the Carroll County Airport on Thursday, May 1.
Local leaders in business, government, education, and religion presented prayers for the nation, state, and specifically for the people, churches, and institutions in Carroll County.
Chamber President Brad Hurley welcomed everyone to the annual event inside the main hangar at the airport. Seated in front of the THP’s helicopter and Tosh Farms’ Citation jet, community members spent approximately one hour asking God for His blessings.
Missle Culp provided soft musical accompaniment on the keyboard during the individual prayers.
Brent Bullock offered the National Day of Prayer traditional prayer; Mayor Joseph Butler offer a Prayer for the Carroll County Citizens; Natalie Porter offered the Prayer for State Leaders; Brad Hurley offered the Prayer for Graduates; Melissa Powell offered the Prayer for Healthcare Providers; Michael Dennison offer the Prayer for Gold Star Families; Mike Cary offered a Prayer for Senior Adults; Garrett Burns offered the Prayer for God’s Word; John Wright offered Billy Graham’s Prayer for the Nation; Ryan Griffin offered the Prayer for Carroll County Churches; Andy Rice offered the Prayer for the Military; Wilma Pearson offered the Prayer for Local Leaders; Lynn Watkins offered the Prayer for Carroll County K-12 Schools; Scott Carter offered the Prayer for Families Who Have Lost Loved Ones; Brian Winston offered the Prayer for the Business Community’ Rick Crossno offered the Prayer for First Responders; Hal Eason offered the Prayer for Farmers; Anne Hames offered the Prayer for Bethel University; Kenny Herndon offered the Prayer for Federal and World Leaders; Michael Butler offered the Prayer for Utility Workers; Col. James Harding offered the Prayer for Veterans; Ike Gilbert offered the Prayer for the Needy; Chad Edwards offered the Prayer for Families; Joe Smothers offered President Washington’s Prayer for our Nation; and Ryan Drewry offered the Lord’s Prayer.
