County Commission Meets Monday
From the Sep 10, 2024 e-EditionHUNTINGDON (September 9) — The Carroll County Commission meets Monday, September 16 at 7 p.m. On the agenda are four resolutions dealing with the 2024-25 Fiscal Year Budget.
Resolution 9-01-2024 amends the FY25 Budget Fund Balance $55,618.50 (Three Star Grant — $50,000; Insurance Recovery — $3,545.50; Prevention Coalition — SOR GRANT — $2,073). Resolution 9-02-2024 transfers funds from the Reserve Account for Carroll County Library at $626 to the communication line item. Resolution 9-03-2024 is the proposal to accept and budget the TOP Grant for Carroll County Library valued at $5,672; the expenditures will go towards communication ($3,672) and other contracted services ($2,000). Resolution 9-04-2024 is the proposal to accept and budget for the MAR Grant for Carroll County Prevention Coalition valued at $76,855.
In other business, the Commission will hold the elections for Chairman and Chairman Pro Tempore of the Carroll County Legislative Body. Commissioner committee assignments will be up for approval. Sgt. Dwayne Tordsen will provide an update on the Re-Entry Programs through the Carroll County Jail. There will be a discussion on decorum. Notaries will be elected.
The meeting is at the Carroll County Government Complex in Huntingdon at 625 High Street.
