At Mrs. Spencer's request, there will be no funeral services.
Mrs. Spencer was born March 15, 1928 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to the late Eli Washington Douglas and Cordie Bell Douglas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John W. Spencer, two daughters, Laura Brown and Vivian G. Brown, two sons, Charles E. Anderson and Johnny Mack Brown, a grandson, Michael E. Anderson, two great-granddaughters, Claudia N. Anderson and Sammy Anderson, four sisters, Elsie Bowman, Hazel Sawyers, Margie Riggs and Mary V. Triplett and several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her caregiver and daughter, Barbara Varner (Kenneth) of McKenzie, a daughter, Cindy Lou Brown Smith of Brookport, Illinois, a son, Teddy Franklin Brown of Murray, Kentucky, a sister, Bobbie Sue Pollis of Dresden, sixteen grandchildren, Tracy A. Thomas, Randy L. Scott, Ben E. Anderson, Charles David Anderson, Jeff Anderson, Tammi Jo Anderson Fiorentini, Raquel Reddick, Bryan Brown, Joshua Brown, Scotty Hodges Brown, Jennifer Brown, Kody Brown, Matthew Brown, Dayla Jo Long, Derrick Thompson, Quincy Thompson, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
