From the Mar 25, 2025 e-EditionMcKENZIE - Mr. Danny Joe Laster, 70, died at his residence on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. It is his request for cremation and no services of any kind. The family will honor his request.
Mr. Laster was a retired plant manager for Gaines, Manufacturing and New Generation Furniture. He was born in McKenzie on May 10, 1954, to Jack Laster and Corky Ward.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Hampton Laster, two sons, Wesley (Niki) Laster of Paris, and Dusty (Shannon) Laster of New Port Richie, Florida, a sister, Gail (Mark) Setterlund of Arlington, one grandson, Noah James Laster and a nephew, Brandon (Natalie) Allen of Millington.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ricky Laster.
