NASHVILLE (January 5) — State Representative Tandy Darby, R-Greenfield, received the Guardian of Small Business Award for his continued leadership on policies that support small businesses and local employers across District 76 and throughout Tennessee.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our local communities and rural economies,” said Darby. “From family-owned shops on our town squares to farmers, manufacturers and service providers across West Tennessee, these businesses create jobs, keep communities strong and drive economic growth. I remain committed to advancing policies at the state level that give them the tools and certainty they need to succeed.”

The Guardian of Small Business Award is presented following a vote of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Tennessee Leadership Council, an advisory board comprised of small business owners from across the state. The award recognizes legislators who demonstrate consistent support for small business priorities, including tax policy, workforce issues, regulatory reform, and economic development.

Rep. Darby has maintained a 100 percent NFIB voting record over the past five years, reflecting his support for legislation that helps small businesses grow, expand, and create jobs in local communities across Tennessee.

State Rep. Tandy Darby represents District 76, which includes Weakley County and portions of Carroll and Henry counties.
