David Hal Paschall, 79, of Lago Vista, Texas, died on November 18, 2024, after a lengthy illness.
David was born on June 26, 1945, to Ratliffe and Velna Gray Douglas Paschall in Murray, Kentucky. After David graduated from McKenzie High School in McKenzie, Tenn., in 1963, he studied political science at the University of the South at Sewanee, Tennessee.
After graduation, he started his first job as a recruiter for the University of the South, then began a career as a teacher and coach at Savannah, Tenn., Marion Institute in Marion, Alabama, followed by a 36-year tenure at St. Stephens Episcopal School in Austin, Texas.
In 1970, David married Sandra Bell, and they had two sons, Justin and Hunter Paschall.
David was predeceased by his parents, Ratliffe and Velna Paschall, and his older brother, Dr. Douglas (Rosemary) Paschall.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra, his younger brother, Martin (Rita) Paschall, of Paris, Tennessee, his stepmother, Jean Paschall, and stepsister, Mary Ann (David) Horne, both of Orlando, Florida.
St. Stephens will honor David with his final resting place on campus, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
