From the Jul 16, 2024 e-EditionMcKENZIE, Tenn. - Joint funeral services for Derrick L. Potter and Elisha Miller Potter are 2 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2024, at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, 12 p.m.-2 p.m. Interment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie.
Mr. Potter, 33, died Saturday, July 6, 2024, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle wreck. He was born in Valparaiso, Inidana on April 16, 1991 to Brian Potter and Julie Hofferth Potter. He was co-owner of Liberty Hardscapes and Excavation, LLC.
He is survived by his sons, Micheal Potter and Dominic Potter, his parents, Brian and Julie, all of McKenzie, a sister, Danielle Potter of Portage, Indiana and paternal grandparents, George and Ginny Harness of Hebron, Indiana.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Elisha Potter, a brother, Dustin Potter and maternal grandparents, Melvin and Rhoda Hofferth.
