District Tournaments Begin this Week
From the Feb 17, 2026 e-EditionTournament brackets are set for most high school basketball districts with games beginning this week.
The District 12-2A tournaments, hosted by Waverly Central High School, begin with girls' semifinals Tuesday, February 17. (1) Huntingdon faces (4) Waverly at 6 p.m., followed by (2) Camden versus (3) Milan. The tournament concludes Friday, February 20 with the consolation game at 6 p.m., followed by the championship game.
The 12-2A boys' tournament starts Thursday, February 19. (1) Waverly faces (4) Camden at 6 p.m., followed by (2) Huntingdon versus (3) Milan. Play concludes Saturday, February 20 with the consolation game at 6 p.m., followed by the title game.
The District 13-1A girls' tournament began with a satellite game Monday, February 16 as (4) Bradford hosted (5) Halls. The remainder of the tournament is hosted by Humboldt High School. Semifinals are Thursday, February 19. (2) Middleton faces (3) West Carroll at 6 p.m., followed by (1) Humboldt versus the winner of Bradford/Halls. The tournament concludes Saturday, February 21 with the consolation game at 6 p.m., followed by the championship game.

The tournament concludes Monday, February 23 with the consolation game at 6 p.m., followed by the championship game.
The District 14-1A girls' tournament began with a satellite game Monday, February 16 as (4) Lake County hosted (5) South Fulton. The remainder of the tournament is hosted by Bethel University. Semifinals are Thursday, February 19. (1) Greenfield faces the winner of Lake County/South Fulton at 6 p.m., followed by (2) Dresden versus (3) Gleason. The tournament concludes Saturday, February 21 with the consolation game at 6 p.m., followed by the championship game.
The 14-1A boys' tournament starts with a satellite game Tuesday, February 17 as (4) Greenfield hosts (5) Dresden at 6:30 p.m. Semifinals (at Bethel) are Friday, February 20. (1) Gleason faces the winner of Greenfield/Dresden at 6 p.m., followed by (2) Lake County versus (3) South Fulton. The tournament concludes Monday, February 23 with the consolation game at 6 p.m., followed by the championship game.
Brackets for District 12-1A (McKenzie, Hollow Rock-Bruceton, Clarksburg, Houston County and McEwen) have yet to be set due to final regular season games still unplayed.

McKENZIE (July 31) — McKenzie High School hosted Obion County Central Friday evening for an all-Rebel scrimmage at the MHS practice field. The host Rebels looked strong on both sides of the ball, especially during the varsity portion of the contest.

After Milan’s Class 2A runner-up finish in 2024, the Bulldogs' biggest rival, Huntingdon, made the run and won the Class 2A state championship last season.
