McKENZIE, Tenn. — Ms. Doris Caperton Blount, 84, died at Baptist Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. She was born on March 22, 1941, at Morris Chapel, Tenn. to Wallace B. and Faye Moffett Caperton. Ms. Doris held various clerical positions throughout her career and was a member of McKenzie First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her children, Cindy Jones of Medina and Chris (Missy) Blount of McKenzie, and five grandchildren, Abigail Jones, Mary Catherine Jones, Caitlyn Jones, Gracie Blount, and Brady Blount.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Jane Shutt, and her brother, Branson Caperton.
The family has requested that if you would like to make a memorial in her memory, please consider giving to McKenzie First Cumberland Presbyterian Church or the Carroll Co. Humane Society.
