From the Apr 30, 2024 e-EditionMrs. Dorothy Moody, 88, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Friday, April 19, 2024, at Huntingdon Health & Rehab.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024, in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sellers Hill Cemetery. Brother Russ Wilkins officiating.
The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., when services will be held.
Mrs. Moody was born January 31, 1936 to the late Albert Miller and Effie Ringold Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband J.D. Moody; one son Greg Boyd; two brothers Harold Miller and Jimmy Miller.
She is survived by grandchildren, Ashley (Chad) Edwards of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Nicholas Boyd of Martin, Tennessee; one daughter Teresa (David) Loyd of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one son Jeff (Tena) Moody of Huntingdon, Tennessee; grandchildren Garrett Moody, Timothy Moody and Hannah Moody; great-grandchildren Wesley Edwards and William Edwards.
Wesley Edwards, David Loyd, Collin Miller, Jeff Moody, Timothy Moody, and Garrett Moody will honor her as pallbearers.
Dilday-Carter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements 731-986-8281.
