Established in 1958, the Pharmacist of the Year Award recognizes a TPA member who has distinguished the profession. In 1965, it was renamed in honor of Tom C. Sharp, Sr., who served as TPA Executive Director for 30 years, and in 2001, expanded to also honor Tom C. Sharp, Jr., who also provided 30 years of leadership as TPA Executive Director.
Established in 1886, TPA is the leading organization representing pharmacists and pharmacy technicians across Tennessee.
