Carroll County Electric Department Donates to Inclusion Park, Hears Update on Solar Project

HUNTINGDON (April 25) — Carroll Counnty Inclusion Park, Inc. received another donation from a government entity in the county when the Carroll County Electric Department Board of Directors voted to provide a local donation of $2,205 to be matched by an equal donation by TVA.

Ryan Drewry, general manager of CCED, said TVA started that matching grant was first available following the COVID pandemic. The Inclusion Park’s needs meets the guidelines for the TVA’s Communnity Care Fund.

In other business, the Board voted to delegate authority to Drewry to approve bids related to the Silicon Ranch Trezevant Interconnection Agreement. Silicon Ranch is building a large solar array adjacent to the power distributor’s substation at Power Station Road in Trezevant. Construction is expected to begin in July.

The Board also welcomed Laura Keeton, attorney, who was selected to fill the vacancy following the recent death of her father, Robert Keeton, III.
