From the Sep 9, 2025 e-EditionTrezevant, TN - Funeral services for Ermalene Latham are Saturday, September 6, 2025, 1 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time. There will be no graveside service.
Ermalene, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and much more, died peacefully in her home on August 31, 2025.
She was married to the love of her life, Eddie, for 43 years. During their time together, they enjoyed many adventures. From school sweethearts to forever soulmates, they spent their lives in Springfield, MO, Denver, Co. and their final home in Trezevant, TN. They shared their home and their love with six children, Marilyn (Mike) Morgan, Jimmy (Robin) Brown, Kevin (Laurie) Latham, Dean (Angie) Latham, Mike (Kim) Latham and Robert (Carla) Latham.
Ermalene loved socializing with friends and family. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, running with friends and shopping trips when able. She is a member of High Street Baptist Church, Springfield, MO.
She is survived by her husband, her children, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Nise (Bruce) Borovicka and Karla (Robert) Smoot, four brothers, Buck (Sharon) Hopkins, Hank (Kim) Hopkins, Jim (Amy) Hopkins and Joe Hopkins, and a host of many others who call her grandma. And many, many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bill Hopkins and Dickie Smith.
