EV Charging Stations Installed in McKenzie, Parker’s Crossroads

McKenzie and Parker’s Crossroads each has newly added charging stations for electric vehicles.
During the December meeting of the Carroll County Electric Department’s Board of Directors, General Manager Ryan Drewry said the new stations were recently added to the local power distributor’s grid.
Pepper’s Ford, located at17825 Highland Drive, McKenzie added two charging stations. The stations at Parker’s Crossroads/I-40 are for Tesla.
Ford Motor Company is constructing its newest assembly plant in Stanton, in West Tennessee. The Blue Oval plant will manufacture EVs.
Drewry said each new location has 240 kw and 250 kw load, equivalent to the electrical needs of McKenzie and Huntingdon high schools.
