FCE Clubs Hold Joint Meeting
From the May 21, 2024 e-EditionCarroll Lake was the beautiful backdrop of a joint meeting of the Carroll County FCE clubs. Macedonia and Bethel/Eastside FCE had a picnic lunch and great conversation, getting to know each other better. There were four members from Macedonia: Martha Peters, president; Sarah Brown, Gaye Coleman, and Judy Gipson; and two members representing Bethel/Eastside: Gail Eubanks, president; and Danita Laman.
The devotion was given by Gail Eubanks entitled, Be Kind. Roll call was answered with “your favorite spring flower”. The business meeting was done away with. The educational program was given by Gail Eubanks on Water. The human body is made up of 60% water. As we get older, we need less water. How much water is right for you? It varies.
Martha Peters read a poem “A friend is a person”. June is national dairy month. Next cluster meeting is July 19th. A suggestion was made that we make sheet cakes to take to the nursing homes for monthly birthdays. Macedonia is already doing this.
Door prizes were drawn for by passing out numbers. Everyone got more than one. The theme was things used at a picnic.
Bethel/Eastside’s next meeting is June 13 in the home of Mary and Pennye Mays.
