District 12AA Softball Tournament
Fillies are Runner-Up with Loss to Camden

CAMDEN (May 9) — The Huntingdon Fillies are the District 12AA Softball Tournament runner-up following a 6-2 loss to Camden Friday.
The Fillies advanced to the region tournament and traveled to Cheatham County Monday, after The Banner's press deadline.
Following the game, district awards were announced.
Fillies named to the All-District team were Camden Sellers, Delaney Byars, Josey Stokes and Kylie Tippitt.
Fillies named to the All-Tournament team were Bailey Cary, Ellie Wilson and Karter Moore.
Huntingdon struck first in the top of the first with a solo home run by Josie Stokes, but Camden answered with two runs in the home half. The Lady Lions added three in the second and one in the third. The Fillies plated a run in the fifth.
Huntingdon's Josey Stokes was 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, two RBIs and a run scored. Delaney Byars went 2-for-4. Kylie Tippitt was 1-for-3.
Bailey Cary got the start for the Fillies, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits with no walks. Cary was relieved in the first by Mileigh Hilliard, who allowed three earned runs on three hits while striking out one and walking two in an inning and a third. Emalynn Maness pitched the final four and two-thirds innings, allowing one earned run on four hits while striking out one and walking one.
