Fillies Blank Waverly, 3-0
From the Apr 28, 2026 e-EditionHUNTINGDON (April 21) — Huntingdon High School softball hosted Waverly Tuesday for a district contest. After four scoreless innings, the host Fillies broke through in the late innings to claim a 3-0 victory.
Huntingdon scored a run in the bottom of the fifth, then added a pair in the sixth.
Fillies Ellie Wilson and Gracey Martin were each 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Millie Luther was 1-for-2 with a run scored and a stolen base. Aubry Castleman was 1-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base. Kylie Tippitt was 1-for-3 with a stolen base. Knox Bennett was 1-for-3.
Lady Tiger Kenedie Taylor was 2-for-3. Abigail White was 2-for-4. Carley McKlemurry, McKensey Waggoner and Ashton Cash were each 1-for-3. McKenzie Elmore was 1-for-4.
Marcie Mitchell earned the complete-game shutout for Huntingdon, allowing eight hits while walking none and striking out four.
McKenzie Elmore took the complete-game loss for Waverly, allowing three runs (one earned) on six hits while walking none and striking out five.
