Fillies Shut Out Lady Rebels, 9-0

HUNTINGDON (August 29) — Huntingdon Middle School hosted McKenzie softball Thursday. The Fillies played well on both sides of the ball, including a shutout by pitcher Marcie Mitchell, for a 9-0 victory.
Huntingdon scored two runs in the first, three in the third and four in the fourth.
Anderson Pearson had two triples and a double for the Fillies with three runs scored. Collyns Wood had two hits, including a double, and scored two runs. Gracey Martin scored three runs on three walks. Tinley Johnson had a triple and a run scored.
Mitchell recorded eleven strikeouts in the five-inning shutout.
Lady Rebels Willow Stenberg and Charlie Cassidy each had a hit.
