Flippin Accepted to Honors Academy

Huntingdon rising senior Ava Flippin, was accepted into the 2023 Commonwealth Honors Academy at Murray State University.
The Academy is a challenging enrichment program for outstanding high school students who have completed their junior year. To be eligible to apply for this prestigious three week academic honors program, students must also have earned at least a 25 on their ACT and have a 3.5 GPA. Ava has a 31 on the ACT and a 4.0 GPA.
Students who attend this program will earn six hours of transferable university credits. Additionally, students such as Ava who maintain the highest academic records earn a full-tuition scholarship to Murray State.
