Former Hollow Rock City Recorder Indicted

HUNTINGDON — Anna Lauren Carrington was indicted on Monday, September 14 by the Carroll County Grand Jury of the Circuit Court on the above charges. She was the former clerk of the Town of Hollow Rock, Tenn.

First Count: theft of services from the Water Utility Department of an amount between $1,000 and $2,500.

Second Count: Official Misconduct - the indictment indicates she failed to pay her own water bill and associated penalties.

Third Count: Tampering with Government Records: The indictment indicates Carrington failed to add her name on the cutoff list for water services.

Fourth Count: Computer Crimes: The indictment indicates Carrington knowingly caused the city's computer system to falsely or fraudulently report, for the purpose of obtaining money, property or services for herself.

All counts are felony-level crimes and occurred while employed at Hollow Rock City Hall between the dates of December 1, 2023 and September 30, 2025.
