From the Feb 25, 2025 e-EditionMr. Frankie Denton Harris, 77, of Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at his home.
Graveside services are Friday, February 21, 2025, at 1 p.m., at Bethlehem Cemetery with masonic rites and military funeral honors observed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Veterans Honor Guard of Parkers Crossroads, 2150 Wildersville Rd. Parkers Crossroads, TN 38388
Mr. Harris was born July 17, 1947, in Martin, Tennessee, to the late Dorris and Frances (Gallimore) Harris. He was a truck driver for Quality Carriers. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam, after which he served in the National Guard. He was past master of the Martin Masonic Lodge, a member of the American Legion, and served in the Parkers Crossroads Honor Guard. He was preceded in death by a step-sister.
He is survived by his wife, Fredia Melton Turner Harris, two daughters, Lisa Markle (Michael) of Dresden Lora Winchester (Michael) of Athens, Alabama, two stepdaughters, Lisa Hutcherson, of Bruceton, and Misty Mitchell (David), of Trezevant, a stepson, Chad Turner, of McLemoresville, and five sisters. He also leaves twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
