McKenzie Garden Club Meets
From the Aug 6, 2024 e-EditionThe members of the McKenzie Garden Club met at the McKenzie Church of Christ for their July meeting on Friday, July 26. Twenty members answered the roll call, and the devotional was given by Donna Ward. She chose “Embracing our Spiritual Summer” as her topic and chose John 15:5 as her reference.
The program was presented by Mona Batchelor, who gave a short history of Terraria, and what materials and plants would be suitable to build and maintain one for your home.
Following the program, reports were given by the Sunshine, Publicity, and Scrapbook committees. The subject of the Club’s 100th anniversary was introduced and the forming of an event committee was discussed. Also discussed was the forming of a nominating committee for officers for the upcoming term.
With no new business to discuss, flowers were presented to the members celebrating July birthdays, and the meeting was closed with the reading of the Collect.
