McKENZIE, Tenn. — Graveside services for Garland Ellis are Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Mt Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie.
 Mr. Eilis, 96,, died at his residence on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, an Angus cow farmer, a member of the American Angus Association, First United Methodist Church, and a member of the National Guard for three years.
He was born in Greenfield on November 4, 1928, to Robert and Brinnie Elenor Cantrell Ellis.
 He is survived by his wife, Beverly Ellis, a daughter, Starla McCallister, son-in-law, Johnny Davis, grandchildren, Codi Ellis, Robert Davis, Justin Davis, April Maystead, Victoria Motheral, Hannah Walsh, Rachel McCallister, Abbey Motheral, and Matthew McCallister, and eight great-grandchildren.
 He is preceded in death by his parents, daughters, Brenda Ellis Davis, Ruth Ann Ellis, and Susie Motheral, a son, Tommy Ellis, a grandson, Jason Davis, and two brothers, John Ellis and Melvin Leon Ellis.
