Gleason City Appoints Department Supervisors
From the Dec 10, 2024 e-EditionGLEASON (December 2) — Gleason Mayor and Board of Aldermen were administered the oath of office following their successful election bid on November 5. Mayor Charles Anderson and aldermen Mike Bennett, Mike Stafford, James Hines, and Alderwoman Shawn Francisco were elected to four-year terms.
The lone business was the appointment of city personnel and city attorney, and city judge.
Mayor Anderson nominated the following people:
City Recorder - Marsha Hatley and Assistant City Recorder Tracy Gaylord.
Police Chief - Marcus Hopper and Assistant Michael Lowe.
Public Works Director Rodney Garner and assistants Carter Cook and Brandon Peevyhouse.
Water Superintendent Clay Wright.
Fire Department Chief Mark Stafford and Assistant Greg Cook.
Librarian Michellia Wilson.
City Judge Tommy Moore.
City Attorney Beau Pemberton.
City Auditor - Alexander, Thompson and Arnold (ATA).
The next meeting is Tuesday, January 21, 7 p.m.
