HUNTINGDON (March 7) — On Friday, Governor Bill Lee visited faculty, staff and students at Huntingdon Primary School. The Tennessee governor was joined by his wife, Maria. The Lees took part in Read Across America at the primary school.
For well over an hour, the Governor and Mrs. Lee talked with the students of Huntingdon Primary School. Governor Lee shared a message with the students about how God made each individual unique and that uniqueness is what makes them special.
“Read Across America” is a nationwide initiative launched by the National Education Association (NEA) to promote reading among children and young adults, primarily celebrated on March 2 which coincides with Dr. Seuss’s birthday, encouraging everyone to celebrate reading through various activities like reading aloud, book events, and author visits, essentially making it a “national reading day” in the United States.
