HUNTINGDON (November 7) — The annual Habitat for Humanity Gala was Thursday, November 7 at the Carroll County Civic Center.

The event was the non-profit organization’s way of raising money for its mission to build low-cost housing for the county’s worthy families and make a difference in their lives.

The local chapter of Habitat for Humanity has built 22 homes since 1991 in Hollow Rock-Bruceton, Atwood, Clarksburg, Huntingdon, McKenzie, and Trezevant.

On October 20, the Carroll County chapter broke ground for its 23rd home. Judith Eubanks, her daughter, Julee and father, Landon will soon call 103 May Street home.

Patricia Holt was named Volunteer of the Year.

The event raised $27,150.

Hometown Hangout of McKenzie catered the meal and Bethel University softball players and students from each of the high schools served as servers.

For more information, phone the Habitat Office at 731-986-5900.
