Halloween Fun Continues This Week

October has been full of Halloween events in the area, and that continues this week leading up to the big day on Friday. Here is a list of area events this week:
Spooky Scary Skulls at McKenzie Memorial Library
McKenzie Memorial Library (15 Broadway) hosts Spooky Scary Skulls on Tuesday, October 28 at 4 p.m. This is a program for all ages. Attendees will decorate a foam skull that they get to take home.
Homer’s Halloween Hootenanny
Hometown Health Clinic hosts Homer’s (very-not-too-scary) Halloween Hootenanny at the Main Clinic on Tuesday, October 28 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Enter at the main front entrance and wander your way through the trick-or-treat trail of fun in the Pediatrics department. Dress up your little ghosts and goblins and come have some fun!
Atwood Fire Department Trunk or Treat
The Atwood Fire Department hosts a Trunk or Treat on Tuesday, October 28, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the walking track and baseball field. Guests can enjoy candy, games and hot dogs during the evening.
Pumpkin Painting Night at The Happy Book Stack
The Happy Book Stack in McKenzie hosts Pumpkin Painting Night Tuesday, October 28 from 6-8 p.m. for $10 per person (includes one pumpkin + all paint & decorating supplies). Bring the family for a cozy fall evening of fun! While the kiddos paint their pumpkins, you can enjoy a delicious dinner, sip on a cozy fall drink, snag a sweet treat, and even browse our shelves for your next great read. Spots are limited!
Trunk or Treat at Cherrywood Post Acute
Cherrywood Post Acute, 175 Hospital Drive, McKenzie, hosts a Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 30 from 4-6 p.m. in the front parking lot. Wear your costumes, have fun and sweet treats will be provided.
Blue and Gold Boo Bash at Huntingdon Primary School
Huntingdon Primary School hosts its Blue and Gold Boo Bash on Thursday, October 30 from 4-6 p.m. Students and families are invited to participate in the trunk-or-treat event before the football game, with students encouraged to dress in blue and gold.
Boo Bash at Paris Station
Bring the whole family for a night of spooky fun at Paris Station on Thursday, October 30 at 6 p.m. Three spooky storytellers share family-friendly tales to give you chills (but not nightmares!). Trick-or-Treating – grab some sweets while you enjoy the night! Costume Contest for kids and grown-ups—prizes for the best costumes! Make it Dinner and a Show! Come early and grab dinner with us—our kitchen will be serving up all your Paris Station favorites. From flatbreads and burgers to nachos and sandwiches, it’s the perfect way to dine in while enjoying the festivities.
Scary Stories in the Dark at McKenzie Memorial Library
McKenzie Memorial Library (15 Broadway) hosts Scary Stories in the Dark on Friday, October 31 at 4 p.m. This is a program for children. Attendees will receive a mini flashlight and listen to scary stories.
Carroll County Complex Trunk or Treat
The Carroll County Library hosts a Trunk or Treat at the Carroll County Complex on Friday, October 31 from 5-7 p.m. The event will include free candy, with trunks encouraged to have book or story themes, though it’s not required.
First Baptist Church Trezevant Trunk or Treat
First Baptist Church of Trezevant hosts a Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 31 from 5-7 p.m. at 60 Church Street. Families are invited to enjoy an evening of safe trick-or-treating and fun.
Terry Fire Department Trunk or Treat
The Terry Fire Department hosts its Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 31 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The event will include decorated vehicles and candy for children of all ages.
Lakeside Senior Living-Halloween
You won’t be in Kansas anymore when you twist your way to Lakeside Senior Living (390 Dr. Smith Lane, McKenzie) for A Wizard of Oz Halloween Experience. Walk the Yellow Brick Road and be greeted by Glinda the Good Witch along with the Wicked Witches of the East and West. Walk through the gates of the Emerald City where Lakeside Dorothys will be ready to fill your baskets with sweet treats and goodies. As you continue through your journey stop by our Emerald City Rainbow backdrop and snap a photo with the Tin Man, Scarecrow and Cowardly Lion. Remember, “There’s No Place Like Home” and we welcome you to ours on Friday, October 31 from 5:30-8 p.m.
Pediatrics Paris ‘Boo Boo Bash’
West Tennessee Medical Group – Pediatrics Paris hosts a “Boo Boo Bash” on Friday, October 31, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at 243 Jim Adams Drive in Paris. The event includes trunk or treating, games, prizes, snacks and the world’s smallest pumpkin patch...all in a safe, family-friendly environment. This is a great opportunity for families to enjoy Halloween fun while connecting with their local healthcare team.
MHS Class of 2026 Trunk or Treat
The McKenzie High School Class of 2026 hosts a Senior Night trunk-or-treat Friday, October 31 at halftime of the MHS football game. Kickoff of the game is 7 p.m.
TCAT Henry/Carroll Trunk or Treat
Make plans to join us for our second annual Trunk or Treat at TCAT Henry/Carroll on Friday, October 31 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at 312 S Wilson Street, Paris (right across from Henry County High School).
Henry County Health and Rehabilitation Fall Festival
Henry County Health and Rehabilitation hosts its Fall Festival Friday, October 31 from 3-5 p.m. at 239 Hospital Circle, Paris. Free community event, all are welcome!
Monster Bash at Paris Station
Monster Bash at Paris Station is Friday, October 31. Costume Contest at 6:30 p.m. Singo at 7 p.m. Costume Contest with prizes for: Best Costume; Scariest Costume; Best Couple/Group; Funniest Costume; Most Creative. Halloween-themed Singo – it’s music bingo with a spooky twist! Delicious food, cold brews, and plenty of Halloween fun! Dress up, get out, and join the party – then still make it home in bed by 10:30 p.m.
