High Winds Topple Trees, Cause Power Outages
From the Dec 30, 2025 e-EditionCARROLL COUNTY (December 28) — Strong winds accompanied a cold front that moved into Tennessee on Sunday evening. As Christmas weekend temperatures moved from the 70s to the upper 20s, the front brought high winds, frigid conditions, and rain.
Emergency crews were busy clearing downed trees on roadways in the county on State Route 190, State Route 114, and U.S. 70.
A few scattered electrical power outages were also reported in the county.
