McKENZIE (July 22) — Hometown Health Clinic hosted a Hawaiian-themed Back to School Blitz event Wednesday at its McKenzie pediatrics location.

Complete with leis, popcorn, sno-cones and face painting, Hometown Health's Back to School Blitz was the perfect imaginary beach getaway for kids in need of their yearly wellness checks or back-to-school vaccinations.

To top it all off, United Healthcare and BlueCare Tennessee had booths set up in the clinic's waiting room, giving away various toys and school supplies.

At the start of the event, Marketing/Human Resources Manager Ellen Pruitt said more than 20 kids had wellness checkups and vaccinations scheduled for the day, and walk-ins were welcomed.

Hometown Health Clinic's pediatrics center is located at 205 Hospital Dr., McKenzie.
