HUNTINGDON (April 10) — Huntingdon High School hosted its annual Future Farmers of America (FFA) Plant Sale Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., selling not only a variety of plants but also pork, beef and chicken products.

The greenhouse behind the school was filled to the brim with plants, with some placed on tables and some hanging from the ceiling. In another building, students sold various USDA-certified meats.

This year, students, in a partnership with the Carroll County Co-op, raised boilers, hogs and chickens at the HHS farm behind the fieldhouse. They sold beef products including flat iron steak, ground beef, roast, beef fajita strips and more; pork products including ham and roast; and whole chickens.

Anyone wishing to shop from the Plant Sale may still visit during school hours, but is asked to call the HHS office ahead of time.
