Huntingdon Christmas Parade Brings Big Crowd

HUNTINGDON (December 8) — A large crowd gathered around the court square and down Main Street Monday night for the Town of Huntingdon’s annual Christmas parade.
The parade featured a lengthy lineup of brightly-lit floats and vehicles and, of course, tons of candy.
The Grand Marshals for the parade were Eric and Anissa Swenson. Eric is the head coach of the Huntingdon High School Mustang football team, which claimed the Class 2A state title two days earlier. Coach Swenson had the gold ball proudly on display along the route, and the Mustangs drew cheers from a float following the coach.
Several awards were presented to parade participants.
Best Float: First Place - Kmen Electric, LLC; Second Place - Watson Lumber.
Best Antique Vehicle: First Place - Rhodes Farm; Second Place - Bradley Racing.
Best Motorized Vehicle: First Place - Huck’s; Second Place - JKee Towing.
Best Miscellaneous: First Place - Rhodes Farm.
Best Band: First Place - Huntingdon High School Marching Mustangs.
