DUI Arrest — On September 16, Sgt. Bo Ezell conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle fail to maintain its lane and travel 55 mph in a 35-mph zone. The driver, Keyshun Hoard, was found to have open beer bottles inside the vehicle, and Sgt. Ezell detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from him. During the investigation, Hoard reportedly made spontaneous statements to the officer and resisted efforts to be handcuffed and placed into the patrol vehicle and refusing lawful commands. Hoard refused implied consent testing after being advised of the Tennessee Implied Consent Law. He was transported to the Carroll County Jail and charged with DUI (1st offense), resisting arrest, violation of implied consent, open container and failure to maintain lane. Sgt. Suspended License Citation — On September 14, Patrolman Jacob Dearman observed a gray Ford pickup fail to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Veterans Drive South and Buena Vista Road. The driver, Candie Hand, was found to be operating the vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. Hand was issued citations for driving on a suspended license and failure to stop at a stop sign. Her driver’s license was confiscated and submitted to the Huntingdon Police Department for disposition. Patrolman Jacob Dearman filed the report.

Criminal Trespass Arrest — On September 22, Sgt. Bo Ezell and Patrolman Inman responded to Walmart after receiving a report that two individuals who had previously been banned from all Walmart locations were inside the store. Employees confirmed that Charles Jackson and Kayla Jackson had both been permanently banned from Walmart properties. Both acknowledged they were aware of the ban. After the ban was confirmed through Walmart records, both were arrested and transported to the Carroll County Jail on charges of criminal trespass. Sgt. Bo Ezell filed the report.

Revoked License Arrest — On September 18, Sgt. Bo Ezell stopped a blue 2003 Chevrolet S-10 for a lighting violation. The driver, Bobby Smith, was found to have a driver’s license revoked for a prior DUI conviction from McNairy County. Smith was arrested and transported to the Carroll County Jail, where he was charged with driving on a revoked license for DUI (second offense). Sgt. Bo Ezell filed the report.

Resisting Arrest Charge — On August 30, Officer Daniel Inman reported that Torey Watson came to the Huntingdon Police Department after officers requested contact regarding an active harassment warrant. After being advised he was under arrest, Watson became uncooperative. Officer Inman used a mandibular angle pressure point technique to gain compliance, after which Watson was secured and transported to the Carroll County Jail by Sgt. Bo Ezell. Watson was additionally charged with resisting arrest. Officer Daniel Inman filed the report.

Public Intoxication and Drug Paraphernalia Charges — On August 16, Sgt. Ethan Parham responded to Walmart after receiving a report of a shirtless man inhaling aerosol air duster near a vehicle. Officers made contact with Brett Curtis, who was holding a can of air duster and admitted, after being advised of his Miranda rights, that he had intentionally inhaled the contents. Curtis appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance. Officers also located a metal smoking pipe and a glass smoking pipe containing small amounts of marijuana.

During the investigation, officers discovered approximately 10 dogs inside Curtis’ vehicle showing signs of heat distress. EMS responded to evaluate another individual at the scene, while the Huntingdon dog catcher transported the dogs to the city pound until they could be reclaimed.

On August 19, Officer Daniel Inman and Sgt. Parham were again dispatched to Walmart after employees reported Curtis was inhaling an aerosol can inside the store. Officers located Curtis inside a restroom stall actively inhaling from the can. Curtis appeared intoxicated, unsteady on his feet and impaired. He was arrested on charges of inhalation of fumes for intoxication, public intoxication and unlawful drug paraphernalia before being transported to the Carroll County Jail. Walmart also advised Curtis that he was permanently banned from the property and could face criminal trespass charges if he returned. Officer Daniel Inman filed the supplemental report.

Shoplifting Citation — On September 2, Officer Daniel Inman responded to Walmart after employees reported two suspects removed the shoes they were wearing, replaced them with shoes from the store and left without paying. Store employees advised the suspects arrived in a Lowe’s delivery truck. After contacting one of the suspects, Emmanuel Bisono, by telephone, Officer Inman instructed him to return to Walmart or face an arrest warrant. Bisono returned voluntarily and was issued a misdemeanor citation for shoplifting. He was also instructed to report to the Carroll County Jail within 10 days to complete the booking process. Drug Paraphernalia and Revoked License Arrest — On August 24, Sgt. Bo Ezell responded after a vehicle struck a building. The driver, Elizabeth Minter, stated the brakes on her vehicle had failed. Minter consented to a search of both her vehicle and purse. During the search, officers located two peach-colored lids containing a white crystal-like residue that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. A records check also revealed Minter’s driver’s license had been revoked for a prior DUI conviction. Minter was transported to the Carroll County Jail and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a revoked license for DUI (first offense). She was also cited for financial responsibility. Sgt. Bo Ezell filed the report.

Shoplifting Citation — On August 25, Sgt. Ethan Parham responded to Walmart after receiving a report of a shoplifting incident. Walmart loss prevention personnel advised that Linda Scott had taken three merchandise items from the store on August 24 and exited without paying. The theft, totaling $39.12, was captured on Walmart security cameras and witnessed by loss prevention personnel. Based on the investigation, Scott was issued a citation to appear in Carroll County General Sessions Court on a charge of theft of property/conduct involving merchandise. Sgt. Ethan Parham filed the report.

Drug Possession and Paraphernalia Charges — On September 7, Patrolman Joey Hedge observed Matthew Bailey operating a vehicle without wearing a seat belt and requested Patrolman Daniel Inman confirm the violation. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, Bailey turned onto Skyline Lane and stopped in a driveway where he stated he did not live. A records check revealed Bailey’s driver’s license was revoked for DUI. Bailey then gave officers consent to search the vehicle.

During the search, officers located a backpack belonging to passenger Tristin Ray Morgan. Inside the backpack, officers found approximately one gram of marijuana, a marijuana pipe, a cigarette roller, a plastic bag and a container with marijuana residue. Officers also located a marijuana grinder containing marijuana residue on the floorboard near the backpack. Both Bailey and Morgan were placed under arrest and transported to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office. Morgan was charged with simple possession/casual exchange and unlawful drug paraphernalia. Evading Arrest Pursuit — On August 19, Patrolman Daniel Inman assisted in the pursuit of a black 2026 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Kristopher Isabell after officers were advised the vehicle had fled from the Tennessee Highway Patrol and later from Carroll County Sheriff’s deputies. Huntingdon officers staged along Highway 70 in an attempt to deploy spike strips before joining the pursuit as the vehicle entered the city.

Patrolman Inman observed the Pathfinder traveling approximately 125 mph as it entered Huntingdon and joined the pursuit behind another Huntingdon patrol unit. Isabell continued traveling at a high rate of speed, passing multiple vehicles. Officers reported the Pathfinder traveled through the Veterans Drive North and Main Street West intersection at approximately 115 mph before the driver briefly lost control of the vehicle, regained control, and continued toward the Court Square.

When the pursuit reached the Court Square, Isabell drove through the roundabout and turned against the designated one-way flow of traffic before colliding head-on with a civilian vehicle. Patrolman Inman and another officer exited their patrol vehicles with their service weapons drawn and repeatedly ordered the occupants to exit the Pathfinder. Officers attempted to break a window to gain access to the vehicle but were unsuccessful. When the passenger opened the passenger-side door, officers were able to gain control of Isabell. He continued resisting officers’ attempts to take him into custody until a Taser was deployed, allowing officers to secure him.

Isabell, the passenger and the occupants of the civilian vehicle were evaluated at the scene. According to the report, no injuries were reported. Patrolman Daniel Inman filed the report documenting his involvement in the pursuit.

Criminal Trespass Arrest — On August 20, Sgt. Ethan Parham and Patrolman Jacob Dearman responded to a trespassing complaint after the property owner reported an unidentified man had entered a vacant residence on his property without permission two days earlier. Video footage identified Kiowa Geans as the individual who entered the property. Sgt. Parham obtained an arrest warrant charging Geans with criminal trespass. Later that evening, Patrolman Bo Ezell arrested Geans on the warrant.

Revoked License Citation — On August 22, Patrolman Daniel Inman conducted a traffic stop on Buena Vista Road after observing a black Chevrolet S-10 with inoperative brake lights. The driver, Loretta Williams, was found to have a revoked driver’s license due to an accumulation of points. Williams was charged with driving on a revoked license and violation of the light law and was cited into Carroll County General Sessions Court. She was instructed to report to the Carroll County Jail within 10 days for booking. Patrolman Daniel Inman filed the report.

Driving on Suspended License Arrest — On August 22, Patrolman Daniel Inman conducted a traffic stop on Veterans Drive North after observing a Kawasaki motorcycle with an improperly displayed registration plate. The driver, Christopher Freeman, was found to have a driver’s license suspended through Madison County General Sessions Court with two prior convictions for driving on a suspended license. Freeman was arrested for driving while license suspended, third offense, and transported to the Carroll County Jail without incident.

Drug Paraphernalia Charge — On August 16, Sgt. Bo Ezell conducted a traffic stop after observing Homer L. Willis Jr.’s vehicle without a side mirror. Willis consented to a search of the vehicle, during which Sgt. Ezell located a black eyeglass case containing residue that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Officers also found a bottle of artificial urine and hand warmers commonly used to alter or falsify drug test results. Willis was charged with unlawful drug paraphernalia. Sgt. Bo Ezell filed the report.

Shoplifting Citation — On August 26, Patrolman Jacob Dearman responded to Walmart after receiving a report of a female shoplifter. Walmart loss prevention personnel advised Brenda Fuller selected multiple merchandise items and left the store without paying. Officers recovered several Walmart merchandise items from Fuller’s purse that matched the stolen property. The total value of the merchandise was $150.88. Fuller was cited into court for shoplifting and released pending her court appearance. Patrolman Jacob Dearman filed the report.

Driving on Revoked License and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia — On August 12, Sgt. Bo Ezell conducted a traffic stop involving Amanda G. Townsend. During the investigation, officers determined Townsend’s driver’s license had been revoked. Officers also located unlawful drug paraphernalia during the investigation. Townsend was arrested and charged with driving on a revoked license and unlawful drug paraphernalia. Sgt. Bo Ezell filed the report.
