From the May 27, 2025 e-EditionDriving on Suspended License — On May 10, Officer Kristen Lee responded to a crash in Wendy’s parking lot. One of the drivers, Scotty Foster, 47, of Huntingdon, had a suspended driver’s license. Foster was taken into custody and booked on Driving on Revoked for DUI second offense.
Speeding, Violation of Registration — On May 16, Officer Dexter Richardson was stationary in the parking lot at Nanny’s conducting radar enforcement when he observed a white Nissan Maxima driving 53 mph in a 30-mph zone. The driver, Charles Tillman, 36, of Huntingdon, had a Suspended Driver’s License. He was given 10 days to report to the jail for booking.
Driving on Suspended License — On May 17, Officer Dexter Richardson observed a white Captiva failing to stop at a stop sign on Veterans Drive North. The driver, Oliva Carter, 33, had a suspended license and was given 10 days to book into Carroll County jail.
Reckless Driving — On May 18, Officer Dexter Richardson clocked a vehicle on his radar going 90 mph in a 55-mph zone. The driver, Christan Walker, 19, pulled over immediately. Walker was arrested for Reckless Driving and taken to Carroll County Jail.
Vandalism — On May 17, officers were notified by Carroll County Sheriff’s Department dispatch about a theft at Walmart electronics department. A correctional officer witnessed a white male wearing a hoodie and carrying a backpack, break into the display case using a hammer. The suspect stole a pair of air pods. Officer Foust sprayed the subject with pepper spray, but he took off on foot. When the police arrived, they saw a subject matching the description walking close to the liquor store. Andrew Stefaniuk, 37, was found to be the man who committed stealing the air pods. He was transported to Carroll County Jail and was also shown to have a warrant out of Georgia.
Driving under the Influence, Second Offense — On May 18, Officer Dexter Richardson observed a black GMC Sierra traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 22. The driver, Channing Edwards, 35, had a strong odor of alcohol. His driver’s license was also revoked for a DUI. Edwards was arrested for DUI, Speeding, and Possession of a Handgun While Under The Influence.
