From the Jun 4, 2024 e-EditionCriminal Trespass — Maurice Lawrence, 31, was arrested on May 15, 2024, for trespassing at Huck’s Convenience Store in Huntingdon. Lawrence stated that he wanted to go to jail and came to Huck’s because he had nothing else to do. Reported by Officer Justen Roberts.
DUI 1/Leaving the Scene of Accident — Gabriel Williams, 25, of Huntingdon, was arrested on May 18, 2024, for leaving the scene of an accident and driving while intoxicated. Officer Roberts Justen responded to a call regarding a motor vehicle accident on Fire Tower Rd. in Huntingdon. A black Ford Mustang was upside down on the roadway after crashing into a utility pole and snapped it in half. There was no driver present on scene. Dispatch confirmed the vehicle was registered to Gabriel Williams. The defendant was located running on Paris Street. Officer Roberts stopped William’s and could smell alcohol. The defendant agreed to give a blood alcohol test at the hospital and was transported to Carroll County Jail.
Public Intoxication/Simple Possession — Jesse Smith, 34, was arrested on May 18, 2024, for public intoxication. Officer Townes responded to an incident on Boundary Street in Huntingdon of a man who had an odor of an alcoholic beverage. Investigator Joey Hedge witnessed Smith at the front of the Water Department in an argument with another Water Department employee. The defendant had a strong odor of alcohol while officers spoke with him. Smith gave the police permission to search his backpack that was in the Huntingdon City Utility Truck he had occupied that morning and there was a half-gallon bottles vodka found that were half empty. There was also a small clear baggy of marijuana and rolling papers in the truck.
Assault — Stephanie Puckett, 31, of Huntingdon, was charged with assault on May 17, 2024, for an altercation with Brittany Harris, 33. Officer Townes responded to a 911 call regarding an assault. Harris stated that Puckett had assaulted her. Harris was in her vehicle outside of the apartment and the Puckett was sitting outside of her apartment. Harris stated that she walked out of her apartment to go to her car, and Puckett started yelling at her. Harris stated that Puckett hit her on the head and pulled her hair while dragging her. Harris did have mud on her pants. Both individuals were arrested for assault due to officers being unable to identify a primary aggressor and transported to Carroll County Jail.
